Yvonne

We’re Darlene and Yvonne—two lifelong animal lovers with a shared passion for creating healthier homes for both pets and people. Our journey started with a simple realization:  Many everyday products, from cleaners to personal care items, contain hidden toxins that can harm us and our pets.

As sensitive individuals, we’ve experienced firsthand how these chemicals impact health. Over the years, through observation, research, and personal experience, we’ve learned that small changes can make a big difference. Now, we want to share that knowledge with you in a way that feels approachable, empowering, and even fun.

Why pets? Because they cannot choose what they’re exposed to—and they often suffer silently. By focusing on our furry (plus feathered & scaled!) friends, we hope to inspire positive change in homes everywhere.

We’re not here to criticize anyone’s choices—Our goal is to share information, resources, and even some creative, cause-related merchandise to help spread the word, that together, we can make healthier choices for the pets we love—and for ourselves as well!

We invite you to join us on this journey. Explore, learn, experiment, and share what you discover. Every small step counts toward creating safer, happier spaces for pets...and people too!

Safer Spaces for the  Pets & People You Love

Darlene's Bio

Darlene has always shared a deep connection with animals and nature. From childhood days caring for family dogs and as an adult in providing dog walking and pet sitting services, to observing wildlife outdoors, her appreciation for living beings and healthy environments has been a guiding force in her life. In her late 20s, Darlene adopted her first dog, making it her mission to provide the best care possible—offering love, quality food, outdoor adventures, and socialization.

As a massage therapist for many years, she visited countless homes and became increasingly aware of how indoor environments and product choices could influence health. Her natural sensitivity and desire to help others sparked an interest in non-toxic living, inspiring her to make her own home a safe haven. Today, that passion continues to grow as she shares her knowledge to help others create healthier spaces for themselves and the pets who depend on them.

Yvonne's Bio

Yvonne’s love for animals began early, in a home filled with a growing menagerie of animal friends (which she  had asked for), including cats, hamsters, rabbits, a cockatiel, pigeons, doves and other birds, tropical fish, a guinea pig, chickens, a duck, and even a tortoise and a gopher snake (plus more)!  Caring for such a wide range of pets taught her compassion and responsibility, and neighbors often brought stray animals to Yvonne knowing they would find a safe place.

As an adult, Yvonne faced significant health challenges that led her to doing much research through which she became aware of the hidden toxins in everyday products. This opened her eyes to the connection between environmental factors and well-being. She now combines her lifelong love of animals with her passion for educating others about healthier living. Yvonne believes that simple, mindful changes in our homes can make a big difference for both people and the pets who share our lives.
