As some of you may know, I’m home-bound and 5 months in on working to recover from a tibial plateau fracture while also managing multiple chronic medical conditions which are debilitating. It’s been and continues to be a very rough road, as you might imagine.

Due to the above and also due to changes in my line of work which have resulted in my self-employment no longer sustaining my basic needs, I’m actively searching for new work that I can do from home, advocating for myself like crazy, and doing everything I can to stay positive and keep moving forward.

I’m still waiting for support from Department of Rehabilitation, unfortunately, they have caused an eight month delay in the process with no viable progress being made despite my best efforts. I actually had to contact a nonprofit legal organization twice to help me try to get things moving with DOR. That said I do finally have an appointment with them again this month to discuss next steps and to hopefully begin the process of developing my IPE (Individualized Plan for Employment) in earnest this time and to also then start implementing the various steps laid out in the IPE.

In the meantime, I could really use some extra support to help keep me afloat and meet my basic needs. Despite my positive and hopeful attitude, this is a serious situation. If you’re able and would like to help, here are a few ways to do so:
